For the performance of the premiere of the work On the Back of a Nightingale, the concerto for flute and string orchestra by Spanish composer Jorge Grundman, the flutist, also from Málaga and a member of the orchestra, Ángel Pareja Francisco, will take the stage to recreate the flight of the nightingale that the piece proposes.

Under the direction of Ángel Pareja Francisco alongside the Iberian Sinfonietta and conducted by Juan Paulo Gómez.

On November 25, the Palacio de la Paz in Fuengirola (Málaga) will host the highly anticipated world premiere of On the Back of a Nightingale, Op. 31 by composer Jorge Grundman, performed by the Málaga-born flutist Ángel Pareja Francisco as part of the Community Concerts 23-24 season of the Iberian Sinfonietta, conducted by Juan Paulo Gómez.

In a recent interview with the Iberian Sinfonietta, Jorge Grundman described his work as follows: «…the flute concerto is titled On the Back of a Nightingale and aims to depict the final journey of our soul from the moment we pass away until it bids farewell to all loved ones.»
